Three sisters

There are a number of better pictures of roses coming up on other days.  As I practiced, I started to get lucky, but as far as I can remember this is the only one where there were multiple roses lined up.  From this point forward I only took pictures of single roses.  What a shame!  I realized in playing with this one that I like the differences in colors and unfolding between the three roses – like they are three different ages.  The textures change with age and with this rose the pink is also more intense.  I like the baby girl is off center and there is a bit of the leaves peeking through.

They are beautiful....and would be a good inspiration for dyeing. (If only I had control over colors when I dye!)

Flowers.....so nice right now!

Yes the colours are lovely Jenn, and the little bit of petal crinkling. They're all just a little bit different too. cheers, Kaite

Kathy - I am not certain if these are Peace roses. I looked online and saw a few photos that would say yes - but then a number that did not. These had a strong yellow that I was not seeing always in the peace rose images. I was also confused as to whether there are a number of variations of the peace rose - and then as a last thought could soil conditions change the color intensity?

I don't know, but they look a lot like my Peace Rose, which I wove into my Summer tapestry, so have had an 'intimate conversation' with it.

These are beautiful! Makes me want rose season to hurry here, even with it's yard work.
