Rainbow over Tauranga Bay

The rainbow was quite magnificent.  I love the fact that it shows the entire spectrum.  I also love the number of colors and textures within the sky even without the rainbow.  There is also the landscape itself.  I like all the cliffs on the beach in the middle ground, but also the mountains in the background.  There is much to look for in the details if one can get past the rainbow.image

Yes it does - or at least te rainbow seems to define a break in action.

What an amazing photo. This could be on a postcard! How often do you get a chance to photograph such a great rainbow without houses or trees in the way. Great job!

Thanks Jan - One of the benefits is that this was on the south island in New Zealand which only has 500,000 people. That of course gives one a lot more chances to have view of a rainbow without any human construction!
