April Showers? No April Flowers!

Here in SC we have finally seen spring – see in March we had a wave of heat that made one think that we went straight from winter to summer.  That also means the pollen count went through the roof since everything opened at once.  It’s been a beautiful month – and can be appreciated if one can handle the pollen without sneezing!

Lovely photos. Funny how we can live in the same state but have different flowers. I just planted petunias and marigolds last week.

Oh what bounty down there! The coral bark maple, love it! Wonder if it is cold hardy? The azalea is lovely, looks like a ballerina's tutu in those soft wispy pinks.

Leigh - I planted early this year so that's likely why mine are ahead.

Theresa - the coral bark maple survives our winters well and we do get below freezing for quite some time. Now whether it can handle your winter is another story - but worth looking into! I love the azalea as well ot wasn't the typical colors and that was a fitting reminder for Kahnie!

Those are mighty pretty - great color inspiration. I always enjoy seeing the "local color" when Sue puts up her call for pictures.

Love your flower photos! Outstanding job!!! I like the angles you chose!!!

I was taking pictures of a trillium in the woods yesterday, kneeling on the ground, and a guy came running by with his dog. I felt a little silly....but I guess I have to get used to that!!!

I can't believe you have wisteria already!! Our spring is early - probably 3 or 4 weeks ahead of usual - and I'm definitely loving it!

Commenting from the couch on our front porch....

Oh Sue - that wisteria shot was from early in the month. The wisteria here is come and gone - we're looking at the irises in full bloom now, watching the peonies starting to open up and the day lillies are showing some buds!
