Sailing in Auckland

The more dramatic sailing picture in front of Auckland Harbour Bridge.

I like the wave crashing on the front of the boat and the harder diagonal versus the bridge angle – both of which sit nicely within the water’s horizontal line the the piling's vertical.  It’s an exciting picture to me, especially since I’ve now ridden on a sail boat and know the feeling of leaning over and the quiet of the ride.

That is a really beautiful photo. Great color and very dynamic.

To my eye, it looks like the horizon is at a slant. That happens to me all the time - and there is a fix in photoshop. I never used to notice it until I read an article about slanting horizons and verticals that don't look vertical. Now I try to remember to double-check when I take a picture with the horizon in it. (And it drives me crazy when I screw it up!!)

Good eye Sue - straightening it up even brings a bit more drama. Try this one on...
