Sue - glad you like this one. Hmmmm. let me go check on the resolution to take crop further - but I do know that if I were to weave this - what you suggest is of course possible!!!!
Update - yes the resolution is not that good to go all the way into the black, white strips and red beak area. This was taken with my old camera that's at the bottom of the glacier. I think this is a 2MB file. With my new camera I can take pictures up to 12MB - so that really changes the cropping options!!!
My comments are definitely about my reaction to your photos....not necessarily about how they'd look as tapestry. I think the penguin head shape with the color could look really cool in close - one of those photos where you wouldn't be quite sure what you were looking at.

Very cool!!! Do you have enough resolution to crop in really close to the head - to get the red, white and black up close??
(I often wish I could really zoom in on parts of my picture only to find that if I do it gets super grainy.)
