Sunday I brought Raven up with me to Tennessee. I had thought that I
would be able to have some one on one time with her and maybe even get
her confidence up. Monday was not what I had hoped. She didn't eat.
She even started talking to me.
Today is better. We played tug with a rope and even went for a walk on
the Greenbelt. We just take it one day at a time.

seems like her primary bonding is with Shadow and she was missing him. another thought is that i think she's a lot older than you were told, she looks like an old dog to me...kaite
Such a sweet looking girl! I'll bet she settles in with you perfectly after a couple of days. She's probably unsure of where she's going to land after being a shelter dog maybe?
I do agree that she is missing Shadow and things are a little better but I'm not sure this is worth doing another week. As far as the white making her look older, I can understand why you would think that, but what I've also seen is that she has the same on her feet. We're thinking she is part border collie and she has a bit of white where a border collie would. I also think the border collie is also making her a more hyper dog. I'm beginning to understand it's all fear. We'll get there but Iat have bitten off more than she can chew!
Acclimating a shelter dog and getting it over fear can be a long process, but it's so rewarding.
Our dearly departed Kodi was afraid of everyone, even us, when we first got him, and by the end of his life he was friendly and brave.
Just keep treating her kindly and she will get through it.
Good luck! (Uh-oh.....I just wished you house luck too....but still!)
